DAVID ROSFELD

David Rosfeld is a Canadian/American writer and director based in Brooklyn, New York.  His work spans traditional narrative, documentary, experimental and hybrid forms, often embracing queer themes. His feature length screenplay September was selected by the Berlinale for the International Co-Production Market. His 2019 short film Bob & Dale, executive produced by Robert Hawk (Trick) and Howard Rosenman (Call Me By Your Name), enjoyed an international festival run, was awarded by the National Board of Review, featured at the Gotham Awards and acquired by Focus Features for distribution. He has been a fellow of the Tribeca Film Institute and performed a residency at the Experimental Television Center. He is the recipient of production grants from the New York City Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment and the Panavision New Filmmaker Program. His feature length screenplays Manitou Springs and Tampa are in development at White Rose Productions, where he is a founding partner. He holds an MFA in Directing from the Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema and is an adjunct lecturer at New York University, in the Kanbar Institute of Film & Television, Tisch School of the Arts.
